Fixed Asset Management Program

Fixed Asset Management Program (FAMP) provides a user friendly alternative to accurately identify, locate and track fixed assets. RCI enjoys a leadership position by consistently offering accurate on-site processes that utilize hierarchical barcode technologies. FAMP assists school districts and local governments with the capital asset reporting and depreciation requirements that comply with GASB Statement 34/35. RCI provides on-going system support, historical cost research, annual re-inventory, general ledger reconciliations and replacement cost research.

The RCI Fixed Asset Management Program (FAMP) supports:

  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including GASB 34/35.
  • Insurance Valuation Reports.
  • Government Accounting, Auditing and Financial Reporting (GAAFR).
  • Asset Stewardship from Fund Encumbrance through Final Disposition.

Financial reporting requirements:

  • Provides and maintains accurate baseline fixed asset inventory.
  • Identifies requested assets, records its description, location (room and/or floor), quantity, manufacturer / model or serial number as applicable.
  • Stewardship responsibilities are made easier by use of bar code technology.
  • Historical cost (replacement to actual or estimated) research is available in support of GASB 34/35 or other requirements.

  • RCI believes that each client should be able to manage their database by adding and deleting data related to its assets and not have to rely on their service provider.
  • The RCI Asset Link Software Program is an integral part of the overall project and is included with each FAMP job.
  • RCI Asset Link Software is designed to depreciate the value of your assets using the straight-line method. It will depreciate each Item based on the purchase date, salvage value, and cost.
  • Provides the flexibility to sort and separate assets by areas of responsibility.
